4. Youth unemployment in the EU - Chart 4

In the period of the crisis, the unemployment rate of people 15 to 24 years old has greatly increased in two Airmulp countries, Italy and Spain, where it has reached 42.7 and 53.2 per cent respectively in 2014. In Spain, in particular, the youth unemployment rate is almost double those of Poland (23.9 per cent), France (23.2) and Sweden (22.9), which are however above the EU28 average (16.9). On this threshold is, instead, the UK (16.9 per cent).
